AFDO is not a part of the government.

DISABILITY LOOPDisability Loop is a way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme. AFDO developed ‘Disability Loop’ to be the ‘go to’ place for NDIS news, information, resources and events.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME - The NDIS provides funding to eligible people based on their individual needs. The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life.

The NDIS aims to help people with disability achieve their goals, including independence, community involvement, education, employment and health and wellbeing.

As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE AGENCY - The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Their role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which aims to support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
