- 10:30 Introduction to Public Speaking - facilitated by three members of local Toastmasters Clubs. The workshop will cover speech writing, preparation and presentation, and will include opportunities for prepared speeches by one or two participants. Everyone will have the opportunity for impromptu speaking and learning how to give feedback. You will also be invited to practice a prepared speech (as a guest speaker) at a local Toastmaster meeting and receive evaluation and feedback. There is a resource available that you may like to purchase prior to the workshop called Fast Track - information about that can be found here.

- 1.30 Understanding the Alexander Technique - led by Michael McGurgan. Now for some you-time! The Alexander Technique is used by people across the world to naturally overcome issues such as anxiety and stress-related conditions (maybe caused by public speaking!). breathing and vocal problems, and muscle tension and stiffness. Michael will give you an overview of the technique and how it was developed, and then you will experience it for yourself. You will need to bring a towel and two paperback books.
