HUME SOCIAL ENTERPRISE NETWORK
The Hume Social Enterprise Network is an initiative of the Hume Local Leads project.
The Network is in its infancy, and aims to:
-
provide opportunities for networking and support for social enterprise practitioners
-
provide opportunities for those interested in social enterprise to learn more about what's happening in the region
-
provide advocacy for the regional social enterprises
-
offer formal and informal learning in areas such as marketing, business planning, and starting a social enterprise
In 2021 we held two networking events: one face to face in Beechworth in between COVID lockdowns and an online event held later in the year.

The event in Beechworth was held at the Old Beechworth Gaol, a social enterprise managed by ACRE (Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship). The catering and waiting was provided by Dumu Balcony Cafe, a social enterprise in Bright.
