New vehicles bring community values to life in Yarrawonga

It didn’t take long to see the value of the recently purchased community vehicle by the Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre (YMCLC).

The YMCLC vehicle was purchased in December 2023 and was immediately put to work to tow the borrowed Godfathers cool room for the successful Pay it Forward Christmas appeal.

Christmas hampers were distributed to more than 170 families who registered to receive a hamper.

YMCLC Executive Officer Julie-Anne Clarke said the vehicle will also benefit staff, trainers, board of management, participants, visiting service providers, community members and other key stakeholders.

“One of our core values is ‘Community Focus’. We pride ourselves on connecting people and leading the community to grow and prosper, and we are committed to building a vibrant community in which we all thrive,” Julie-Anne said.

“We’re thrilled to be able to utilise this vehicle for community engagement to bring this value to life.

“We wish to thank the following partners, whose generous donations have helped to fund the vehicle purchase: ClubMulwala, The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing; The Mulwala Water Ski Club, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort and the Central Murray Credit Union.”

“We’re also very excited with our successful application to ClubMulwala, who have donated their obsolete Courtesy Bus to us. This will be another great asset for the community to use.”
