A group of women from YMCLC had to opportunity to share their volunteering experiences and ideas with others from across the North East.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre (YMCLC) recently took a group to Wangaratta to share ideas and experiences with others.
“The ladies from our community group, ‘Boomerang Bags’, were invited to join Wangaratta Boomerang Bags and other community groups across North East Victoria,” said Kellie Petherick, YMCLC Community Support Officer. “Members from each group discussed several projects they were involved in within their communities, some of which included making bags for schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.
“The ladies shared innovative ideas and talked about how their volunteer efforts made a difference to the people and organisations they worked with.
“We congratulate and thank our ‘Boomerang Bag’ ladies for their great achievements and continued efforts over the past seven years.”
